Elisa Monte teaches a master class

Feu Follet
In 1996, PASA was a commissioner of a new work by choreographers Elisa Monte and David Brown. The work, "Feu Follet: A Cajun Love Story," was based on the migration of the Acadians of Nova Scotia who became the Cajuns of south Louisiana. The work was later performed all over the country and the world, sharing not only Monte and Brown's haunting vision of this moment of history, but also the Cajun music and even jokes that were part of the presentation. During the time that the company was in south Louisiana preparing the work, Monte had the opporunity to work with local dancers in a master class setting.
